Year 11’s at Devizes School had the opportunity to discover more about their Post 16 options.
The day started with an impartial information, advice and guidance assembly hosted by Miss Tranter, Head of Careers Education. Students learnt all about qualification types, styles, levels, suitability across the academic, vocational and practical routes available across Education, Employment and Training.
Mr Chamberlain, Head of Sixth from introduced Devizes and Melksham Oak sixth forms - as part of this assembly. Subject specific taster days will be starting in Term 2. Students then, over 2 lessons, attended interactive presentations from main providers: Wiltshire College, UTC Swindon, New College Swindon, Bath College, White Horse Training and Wiltshire Community Foundation.
During these sessions students were able to ask questions and find out more about these organisations and what they offer.
Our Interactive stands were then available over lunch time for all students at Devizes School.
We encourage Year 11's to attend all open days to explore their options further and make applications by latest Jan 11th 2027.
