12 Students from Devizes Sixth form joined the Wiltshire Community Foundation Experience Day, 19th November 2024.

Level 3 Business Students explored careers in a Charity, having the opportunity to engage in discussions with various departments.

Chief Execs, Development, Marketing, Grants, Finance & Operations about their roles, responsibilities, career path routes and qualifications. Students then engaged in a work experience project ; one group responsible for designing a fundraising campaign, the second group responsible for designing a grant programme to sit alongside the fundraising campaign.

Their designs and campaigns were amazing and WCF were impressed with their achievements in just a few hours.

Vicky Hickey, CEO of WCF said “I thought the student presentations were fantastic! They achieved so much in such a short time and there was a clear level of real thought that had gone into both exercises. The students did their school proud.”

The team at WCF were so welcoming, approachable and accommodating, and showcased their considerable skills and experience to help inspire the students for their future career options. A great day all round.
